Time is a really clever thief: he seems to be stealing minutes all the time – you look at the watch and you see you have plenty of time, the next time you look at your watch there is no time left at all. There are never enough hours in a day, are there? Then again, it’s not about how many hours you have, but what you put into those hours. When there is nothing to do, the day becomes long, but it also becomes very boring, so it’s preferred to be on the busy side.
None of us know how much time we have on this Earth, but most seem to forget that it’s limited and put off a lot of things for the morrow. The trick is to be able to live as if you’d die tomorrow, but at the same time taking into account a future reaching well into your hundreds. One thing is for certain – the day I realized that goals, dreams, etc. may never come true, I started to live a lot more for the hour ahead, than ten years ahead. I lived instead of dreamed.
I don’t know about you, but I think we should all spend most of our day living to the full, but also setting aside time to work on creating a great future for ourselves. Many people say they don’t have time to eat healthy, exercise, or start their own business, but if you just dedicate half an hour a day to a cause…you get a lot of hours in a year. After all, we know who the real thief of time is, isn’t it? In my life it’s quite obvious anyway who is in charge of my time…
”The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.” – Stephen Covey
Have fun with your hours people – right now I will use mine for some much needed sleep and very, very sweet dreams! :0)
